Ulf Ekberg, also known as Buddha, is a Swedish singer-songwriter, musician, businessman and television and film producer, best known as a founding member of the pop group Ace of Base. Ace of Base released its debut album in 1992 and went on to attain major chart success throughout the 1990s. Ekberg has produced several artists, TV productions, films and events and has sold over 50 million records worldwide.

Ulf Ekberg is a composer and actor known for The Bad Batch, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and Pitch Perfect. 

Ekberg is the founder of the Surin Relief Fund, which was set up to aid and support orphaned children affected by the tsunami in Phuket.

While Ulf spent 20 years at the top of the music industry as an artist, producer, song writer, founder and front-man of pop phenomenon Ace of Base, it was his passion and track record for helping businesses grow and operating in the global markets that attracted him to focus more on executive board level operations.

Ulf is the co-founder and Chairman of several tech companies including Zoundio with its augmented reality product, Amped Guitar – The Ultimate Guitar Learning Experience in exclusive collaboration with Gibson and StarPick – the fastest growing fantasy sport company in India.  The project has already reached its first milestone: 1 million users within the first 5 months after launch and quickly became India’s second largest operator with a daily growth of 4.5%. 

Ulf Ekberg is a partner at Result Strategy that helped over 300 tech companies accelerating their success through innovation and global expansion. Result is also the co-founder of Europe’s leading innovation house Epicenter. Ulf was previously a Senior partner and the Executive Vice-President at Applied Transactions, part of the Applied Value Group, providing financial advisory and execution support services covering acquisitions, mergers, leveraged buy-outs, turnarounds and divestments. After it’s spinoff from Applied Value Group in 2015, Applied Transactions is today, with it’s professionals in the US – Europe and China, focused on secondary trades and investments within the tech sector with Ulf as it’s Chairman.
